Determination

Self-determination. This is what everyone must have in order to chug along day after day. Some may have more than others, but everyone has it. It’s what gets people through high school, college, and on through the rest of their lives. Yes, there are people who say they don’t have any self-determination left and cannot go on any longer, but they do, and they will.

I have found that when you are down at your worst and feel as though you are overwhelmed with life and have tasks that must be accomplished by a specific deadline, the fire within you will ignite again, which is coincidently called self-determination, and you will succeed in completing what needs to be done. If perhaps you don’t get your priorities completed, all is not lost and there will be another chance, for your self-determination will be sure that.

I often feel as though I can’t do some things and stress over everything I have going on. With my school life interfering with my social life, and work interfering with both, I feel like I have no time to do anything and I often let that get the best of me. But once I talk it over with my self and establish my priorities, I realize I can accomplish anything within reason. It’s my self-determination that aids me in completing my school work before I get caught up in my social life and get behind in school. Now yes, I will admit that I often let my social life come before all, but I’m growing and so is my determination. One day I will have the determination that will conquer all that I want to accomplish, so until then I’m learning right from wrong to build upon that.

Having self-determination and believing in yourself, you can accomplish anything you put your mind to, whether you have doubters or not. You don’t always need a support system, though it helps, to do what you want to with your life and accomplish your life goals. There are some people who have the biggest fan club but no self-determination within themselves, so guess what? They don’t get anywhere in life. So you can do it, so long as you believe in yourself. So long as you have self-determination.
